As part of the government’s agenda to produce over million tonnes of cocoa this year Cocobod set today Tuesday 29th October 2019 ,held a summit in wasa wuratrem Methodist Church in the Amenfi Central District of the western region to educate farmers on Cocoa Health and Extension following the tremendous appellation attained by the farmers in the District.
Speaking at the occassion Mr. Samuel Ankomah Asare The Regional Manager of Ghana Cocoa Board,Dunkwaw-On-Offin advised the farmers to give in to pruners whom by their job clears their cocoa farms to allow ventilation and also prevent black pod disease from their cocoa farms.
Moreover, He added this government has been the government that has provided massive fungicide to farmers. And he assured the pollinators of not been despised of their long outstanding payments.
