The constituency communication director of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Offinso South, Mr. General Tony is advocating for immediate disbandment of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE for being toothless he said.
General Tony said, the responsibility of public advocacy by the NCCE on social and other vital issues is shielding in the country for some years now.
The Communicator speaking to the media he stated that NCCE ought to have schooled the public concerning the increment of fuel prices and the ongoing exhibition exercise but they are sitting on the fence on the job.
He said, the NCCE is currently wasting the state resources as they receive a monthly salary for nonperformance.
The inefficiency on their part (NCCE) has kept people ignorant and a huge spate of misunderstanding on the ongoing election exhibition adding that at least their neutral intervention will help bring fair resolution according to General Tony.
He counted that the country is not benefiting from their independent body which some politicians are doing propaganda to lure people on some important information therefore, advocating for immediate disbandment.
