MONETIZATION OF ELECTIONS IS A HINDRANCE TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT—Mr. Alfred Ahiatsi.

Ghana has been a democratic country since 1992 has had a series of elections from, national, constituency and district elections.

But the recent trend before and during elections has become the opulent display of cash and the highest payer wins elections, this on the side of loyal citizens is sad and unfortunate as incompetent candidates are elected to a sensitive position.

Mr. Alfred Ahiatsi the national convener for Loyal citizens mentioned this when he was interviewed last week by the media during the just ended primaries of the national democratic congress.

He Said that all the active political parties are victims of this development hindrance act and are political cancer that needs to be cured before it takes over our democracy.

Mr. Alfred Ahiatsi concluded by advising all Delegates to desist from taking money to vote but rather assess the candidates with their proposed policies and vote base on that to have competent people to execute their task professionally to foster development in their various jurisdictions.
