President Akufo-Addo has sacked Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

The reason for the sack is unknown, however, some quarters believe it has to do with the proposed plans by the GNPC to own a stake in Aker Energy and AGM Petroleum Ghana blocks.
