Harald Lürzer has confirmed that Norwegian striker Erling Haaland will be signing for Manchester United in the January transfer window after a deal has been successfully agreed between the two clubs.
Haaland has emerged as one of the most highly sought for talents in football this season after a breakout campaign.
The 19-year-old has scored a remarkable 28 goals in 22 games, as well as seven assists, which includes scoring in all of his first five Champions League appearances.
Haaland only joined RB Salzburg in January this year but such has been his phenomenal rise it already looks like he is set for a big-money move, with several top clubs showing interest.
Solskjaer flew to meet Haaland’s representatives on Friday amid United’s interest in the Red Bull Salzburg striker, who has plundered 28 goals in 22 club appearances this season.
Haaland reportedly has a £20million release clause that is only active in the upcoming winter window and the Norway international visited the training grounds of Red Bull Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund last week. Salsburg do not play again for two months due to the winter break in Austria.
