Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, has sadly lost her step-mother.
Popularly known as Auntie Betty, she was loved by many of the actress’ colleague celebrities. This was evident in the many condolences on social media.

The news of the death of Auntie Betty was shared by her children on their individual Instagram pages with many mourning with them.

The actress took to Instagram to make the announcement with a picture of Aunty Betty captioned: “My heart is in shreds…All I want to do is cry and scream and just let it all out cos it’s killing me inside. I don’t even want to RIP cos I can’t believe you’re gone. Noooooooo…..”

Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI Is Dead

The Osu Mantse and President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, has passed on.

He reportedly died Saturday morning, sources have confirmed to Graphic Online.

He was 57 years-old.

As the Paramount Chief of Osu and President of the Osu Traditional Council, he was first elected President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs in 2016 and later re-elected for another term in 2020.

He was enstooled as the Osu Mantse in 2007.

He was born named as Michael Dowuona-Owoo on November 7, 1963 at Adabraka, Accra to Nii Dowuona from Dowuona We of Osu Kinkawe and Madam Grace from the Wellington family of Osu Alata.

The Late Ft. Lt. J. J Rawlings Being Fill Pass
Activities marking the final funeral rites of former Head Of State, His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings which is expected to last for four days commenced Yesterday, January 24, 2021, with a Catholic Requiem Mass at the Holy Spirit Cathedral at 2 pm and later with a vigil at the Air Force Officers Mess in Accra.

The former President was laid-in-state at the Accra International Conference Centre. He will be there for two days which is from Monday, January 25, 2021, to Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

His family received the body (Private) at 5 am on Monday before groups including Heads of Security Agencies, politicians, traditional/religious leaders as well as the general public will file past between 8 am to 6 pm.

Mr. Rawlings passed on at Ghana’s premier public health facility, the Korle-Bu teaching hospital in the capital on November 12, 2020.

Well-known Bulawayo tycoon Worthwhile Mugabe has died.

He died of Covid-19 in Harare.

Mugabe was DSK Holdings managing director.

Mr Mugabe was Worthwhile Investments founder. His company DSK Holdings had six subsidiary companies namely DSK Electricals, Girjac Services, High Peak Cables and Hardware, Power Control Systems, Kayzed Sales and another portfolio offering accommodation in Dalesford, Gweru’s leafy suburb. He also had his footprints outside the country.

Being a well-seasoned and experienced industrialist, Mr Mugabe had on countless times been awarded various private sector leadership accolades from reputable organisations such as Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC), MEGAFEST and Zimbabwe Institute of Management, to mention but a few.

Mr Mugabe had managed to create strategic alliances with internationally recognised manufactures of electrical components and other associated products.

Mr Mugabe some years back acquired spacious premises in Belmont Industrial area in Bulawayo.

Busisa Moyo, chair of ZIDA and also a prominent businessperson was shocked by the news.

Apostle Ebenezer Nii Quaye has passed on

Report BROADCASTGHANA gathered has it that the National Head Pastor for the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Ebenezer Nii Quaye has passed on.

His passing has come as a stun to the Church and numerous as He as of late commended his birthday on tenth December, 2020.

As per reports, on that day he was found in a video moving to a tune with his family at home. He supposedly was healthy, a vivacious man cherished by numerous and well-wishers wished him a year more on his birthday.

He even conveyed a Christmas and New Year’s Message from himself and his family to the Church quite recently.

Messenger Nii Quaye is the National Head Pastor in Germany whose passing left many church individuals crying and grieving wildly.

Witness Quaye began his service function as a Sunday teacher at Mamprobi Church Of Pentecost in Accra. He was designated a priest and has ascended through the positions to turn into an Apostle and a National Head.

He abandoned a wife Roselyn Quaye and three kids; two young men and a young lady.

66 Year Old Chief Found Dead In Guest House After Checking In With 25-Year Old Lady

A 66 year old man has been reported dead hours after he checked into a guest house with a young girl in Koforidua, Eastern Region of Ghana.

Reports say the man, identified as William Agyei checked into Adom Guest House in Koforidua to spend the weekend with a 25 year old lady.

It is said Mr William Agyei might have died from heart attack on an overdose of sexual enhancement pills, investigators reveal.

Investigators found In his room different pills including Viagra and others like deep heat spray, unirob polar ice, bendroflumethiazide tablets.

The accident was reported to the Effiduase Police by the owner of the guest house. The receptionist of the hotel told police that she had found the man lying motionless when she entered the room to clean the next day.

The body has since been conveyed to St Joseph’s Hospital Morgue for preservation pending autopsy.

Ken Ofori Atta Loses his Father

The father of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, Dr Akwasi Andrews Jones Amoako Atta Ofori-Atta, has passed away.

The former legislator died in the United Kingdom on Monday, November 30, 2020.

Dr Ofori-Atta was an uncle of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Born on December 7, 1937, at Fankyeneko in the Eastern Region to Okyenhene Nana Ofori Atta 1, Dr Ofori-Atta was a stalwart of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia tradition.

He had his education at the Achimota School, University of Ghana and University of Ottawa.

He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Begoro in 1969 on the ticket of the Progress Party of the Busia Government and became the Deputy Minister of Finance at the age of 31.

In 1979, he was elected once again as MP for Begoro for the Popular Front Party under the 3rd Republic and became the minority spokesperson on finance.

In 1996, he contested for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He served for a while as Chairman of the Volta River Authority under former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

He was also an Economics lecturer at the University of Manchester, UK.

The late Dr. Ofori-Attta was married to Maud Adi-Darko and had four children including Mr. Ofori-Atta.

Electoral Commission in the Ahafo region, Madam Martha Osei Agyemang Is Dead

Barely a week to the December 2020 polls, the Asunafo North Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission (EC) in the Ahafo region, Martha Osei Agyemang has died creating a vacuum.

The 36-year-old who died at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital where she was on admission receiving treatment according to sources available to MyNewsgh left behind a child

Reports suggest Madam Martha complained she was unwell due to stress at her workplace in view of the workload at her office following the impending polls.

She, however, decided to see her personal doctor at Wenchi in Bono Region for which she left Goaso on Wednesday.

It was gathered that she was getting well and had planned her return to work until news broke out this weekend if her demise.

According to Ahafo Regional Director of the Electoral Commission John Appiah Baffoe who confirmed her death on a local radio station, Madam Martha was committed to her duty.

The body of the deceased has been conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

The seven-kilometre project which stretched from Brawire to Apewosika was meant to protect the ancient coastal town in the Nzema East Municipality from the ravages of the sea and the Sea.

Causes of the Late J. J Rawlings Death Has Been Revealed

Jerry John Rawlings is said to have died Thursday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra.

Mr. Rawlings has been at the Teaching hospital since Sunday. According to reports, he was killed by the deadly COVID-19. The 73-year-old was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
He was on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for about a week after testing positive for COVID-19.

The founder of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was last seen in public on October 19, during the final funeral rites leading to the burial of his mother, Victoria Agbotui.

Jerry John Rawlings was born in Accra on 22nd June 1947, to a Ghanaian mother from Dzelukope, near Keta, in the Volta Region, and a Scottish father.

Information reaching the front desk Dikoder.com is that the chairman of Kampac Oil PLC, Charles Ampofo has reportedly passed away in Manila in the Philippines.

A close source to the family disclosed that the 60-year-old businessman died after a battle with illness for four years.

Before taking ill, Charles Ampofo was said to have been working towards building one of the largest energy cities in the world, which was to be located in Manila, Philippines.

He served as Chairman of Kampac Group whose flagship company is Kampac Oil PLC based in Dubai, UAE.

He was also in charge of Goodman AMC, a management consulting firm in Ghana.

Ampofo was adjudged to be one of Ghana’s wealthiest men with an estimated net worth of about US$1.46 billion in mid-2015.
