    BREAKING News: 4 independent candidates in Ashanti step down ahead of Monday’s polls

    Information available to Dikoder.com suggests that four independent parliamentary candidates in the Ashanti region have decided to step down from contesting the Monday, December 7, general elections as parliamentary candidates hopefuls.


    A deep throat source within the executive leadership of the party in the region revealed to this portal that through a series of deliberations by high ranking executives of the party and the independent parliamentary candidates and their representatives, an agreement have been reached by these parliamentary candidates hopefuls who are believed to have some affiliations to the NPP party to step down and throw their weight behind the NPP candidates in their various constituencies.

    Our source that spoke on condition of strict anonymity, revealed that Eric Osei of the Asokwa constituency, Kwabena Osei Bonsu of the Ahafo Ano North constituency, Lawyer Akwasi Agyemang Amofa of the Bekwai constituency and Hon. Andrews Amoako Asiamah, the incumbent MP for Fomena are the list of persons who through their representatives submitted their agreement letter communicating their decision to step down to the regional executives of the NPP party yesterday, December 5.

    One would recall that the president upon his visit to the Ashanti region emphatically declared he is not ready to work with any NPP party member that defies the party’s condition and contest as an independent or supports an independent candidate ahead of the polls.

    The use of nose masks and face shield was one of the safety measure laid for the preventive towards the spread of covid 19. Patronage of it seems not attractive as compared to the previous state.

    During the covid 19 pandemic,face masks have been employed as a public and personal health control measures against the spread of the virus. It serve as personal protection to limit transmission of the virus in a community or healthcare setting.

    As of early may 2020, 88% of the world population lived in countries that recommend or mandated the use of masks in public; more than 75 countries had mandated the use of mask.

    Ghana is one of the countries that mandated the use of the masks during the corona virus pandemic in the country. And also the selling of the masks created employment for many people in Ghana.

    Today, the situation has changed, in a way that people no longer adhere to the wearing of nose masks and the face shield again, as the wearing of the masks ceases their breath, the nose masks is not being purchase as previously.

    ” we have to learn to a accept the virus as it is here to stay with as” said the Health Minister at a Press Conference in Accra.

    Now Ghanaians seems not to be scared of the virus which also has lowerd the purchase of nose mask and face shield in the country.
