    Ebony’s Spirit has entered into a new lady – Abeiku Santana

    Popular radio presenter on Okay FM, Abeiku Santana has hinted that she’s introducing a singer who possesses the spirit of the late Ebony Reigns.

    The award-winning radio presenter who calls himself radio mu IGP cautions female artists who claim to replace Ebony to stand firm and that the real one is two months away.

    “In two months’ time am bringing a female artist and she is going to take over the voice of the female artists in Ghana. This lady am bringing is the one coming to replace the late Ebony Reigns, all those artists claiming to be Ebony should stand well.

    Ebony has returned and entered into that lady. Watch out for that lady and Black Sherif for one year and see what will happen in their lives”

    Today Marks 3years the Late Ebony left her family

    The  Late Fast rising female dancehall Artiste who was famously known for his back to back hit songs, Princilla Opoku Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns died on the 8th of February, 2018 after she got involved in a fatal accident leaving three people dead and 1 injured.

    Ebony Reigns demise came as one of the tragic shocks to ever hit the Ghana music industry due to how she died right at the peak of her career at the age of 21.

    Ebony before her death was undoubtedly a hot cake in the music scene and was on top of the world with her hit songs such as; Mame hw3, Date your Father, Aseda, Hustle and many more.

    Ebony Reigns even after she passed on won the Artiste of the year in the 2018 and bagged some numerous awards in her name. She left an unprecedented legacy and void which can never be uncovered in the music industry with how he made it through at such a very young age.

    However, today being 8th February, 2021 and exactly 3-years to the passing of Princilla Opoku Kwarteng, The Parent and some family members of the late Ebony Reigns have visited her tomb at the Osu Cemetary to pay remember the sad demise of Ebony who died on the 8th of February,2018.

    It was indeed sad after his father, Mr Opoku Kwarteng was making some sad statements to remember his beloved daughter and the void her death has created in the lives of her Parent.

    Her mother who is known as Beatrice Oppong Martin was sighted shedding tears as they still mourn their late daughter.

    The pain of losing Ebony Reigns still lingers in the mind and heart of Ghanaians and most especially, her relatives with how she passed on within a twinkle of an eye.

    One of the biggest musicians to be signed on Rufftown Records after the death of the late Ebony Reigns is Wendy Shay and to be honest she has tried her possible best to imitate her predicessor but lets say all her efforts proves futile.


    Although she is also gifted with a very lovely voice, fans still don’t ever want to compare her to the late Ebony Reigns.

    In a new photo Wendy Shay shared on her Twitter, fans have concluded that she is trying to imitate the late Ebony Reigns as they troll her.

    With her facial structure enhanced together with her new hair taking the look and shape of Ebony Reigns has got some fans talking.

    Wendy Shay is signing the praises of the late Ebony Reigns and the immense contribution her career has done to the good of the female fraternity as far as music is concerned.

    According to the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker, female artistes including herself who came after Ebony Reigns rode on the fame she had, the attention she has garnered and followed the pace she had set.

    In an appreciation tweet, Wendy Shay said female artistes are heavily indebted to Ebony Reigns for shedding light on female musicians and proving to all naysayers that a female can also do it.

    Wendy Shay rose to prominence after the sudden demise of Ebony Reigns in 2018. Although her death was emotionally and psychologically excruciating and unbearing, many applauded her for her wholesome contribution to the growth of the music industry and endeared her for the energy and talent she exhibited when she was alive.

    For Wendy Shay, she could never have come this far, if not for the work Ebony Reigns had done, the mark she has set and the torch of recognition for female acts she had lit.
