AFCON 2021 QUALIFIERS: BLACK STARS QUASH SOUTH AFRICA IN CAPE COAST

Black Stars have begun their AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign in a flyer after seeing off South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Goals from Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed handed Black Stars a 2-0 win against Bafana Bafana. In a cagey opening first half at the Cape Coast, it had to take a Thomas Partey goal at the stroke of halftime to give Ghana the lead.

The South African’s came in strong the second half searching for the equalizer but the Ghana defense stayed resolute as they blocked any attacks from them.

Substitute Kudus Mohammed put the icing on the cake as he scored in the 83rd minute to double Ghana’s lead.

Elsewhere, Ghana’s group opponents, Sudan recorded a 4-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe. Sudan and Ghana now lead Group A with 3 points apiece, followed by South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe with zero each.

The Black Stars will next travel to play Sao Tome and Principe in matchday of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers on November 18.

  • DONT DATE A GUY WHO DOES THESE THINGS

DONT DATE A GUY WHO DOES THESE THINGS

DONT DATE A GUY WHO DOES THESE THINGS

    DONT DATE
DONT DATE A GUY WHO DOES THESE THINGS

Dating is fun. But it can also be a downright disaster. How many times have you ended up heartbroken and didn’t see it coming?

So if you don’t want to waste your time, you have to be prepared. Look out for anyone who does these things.

    1. They lie even with the smallest things

If they can lie about what they did over the weekend, they can lie about big things, too. Honesty and trust are the foundations of a healthy and secure relationship. If someone is inconsistent with their stories, how can you trust them in the long run?

One white lie is understandable enough, but when you find someone constantly lying and changing their story, you should run the other way.

    2. They hide their phones

DONT DATE It’s one thing to protect your privacy. It’s another thing when someone gets really sketchy about it.

Someone who is trustworthy wouldn’t go to such lengths to keep their phones or computer from you.

I’m not saying they should give you their passwords and access to their emails. Every couple should establish healthy boundaries. But if they’re not allowing you anywhere close to their phone, there’s something fishy.

This is a serious warning sign. It means they’re hiding something and you can’t trust them. And without trust, a relationship can’t grow.

    3. They look down on you

A little competitiveness is good for any relationship. But you should never tolerate someone who always puts you down.

You should be with someone supportive, someone who celebrates your success. Not someone who looks down on what you do.

As they say, you are the sun. Don’t let anyone else dim your light.

    4. They’re extremely jealous

Extreme jealousy, especially at the beginning of a relationship is a serious sign of toxic behavior. Sure, it’s flattering when someone is protective of you. But unreasonable jealousy doesn’t signal a secure start.

In fact, jealousy can grow into more serious toxic patterns like manipulation, control, and even abuse.

The foundation of a healthy and happy relationship is based on trust and respect.

A jealous person is unable and unwilling to trust you and respect you. It’s really as simple as that.

    5. They’re constantly talking about their ex

Another dead giveaway is if they’re always talking about their ex. worse, is if they’re talking negatively about the past.

Usually, it’s a sign they’re not over their previous relationship. And you don’t want to be caught as a rebound.

However, it can also be a sign that they blame their ex and take no responsibility for the breakup. This might mean they will never acknowledge their destructive behaviors in your relationship, too.

    6. They don’t respect your boundaries

It’s true, a good relationship is where compromises are made. But even when you’re a couple, there are certain lines that should never be crossed.

If you’re dating someone who’s always making you do things you’re uncomfortable with, it’s not a good sign for the future.

  • QUARRY DRIVERS ANGRY OVER FRAUDULENT FAKE RECEIPT

QUARRY DRIVERS ANGRY OVER FRAUDULENT FAKE RECEIPT

Association of quarry drivers in the Afigya Kwabre district of the Ashanti region has expressed dissatisfaction and disappointment in the Afigya Kwabre district assembly over what the drivers suspect to be smart theft, forged receipt, and deception in its highest order, as they call for immediate reform.

According to the aggrieved drivers, an amount of Gh¢5.00 which was paid by each truck driver per day has risen to Gh¢5.00 per cubic (trip) instead.

Meaning, drivers have to pay Gh¢50.00 to Gh¢100.00 for the day based on the number of moves you make per the day.

Speaking to the Chairman of the association, Mr. Kwadwo Kusi, he said the assembly just stood up one day to change the payment decision with the explanation that the assembly had wanted to get more revenue to construct deplorable roads within the area for the quarry drivers and other road users of which he says has yielded nothing.

“We the quarry drivers are very much suffering since we are not getting anything, but only work and end up giving our monies to the assembly. The consolation which we had that roads were going to be constructed from such huge money charging has yielded no results”, he cried out.

Other truck drivers expressing disappointment and pointing fingers at the DCE, Hon Christian Adu Poku (APC) and the entire Afigya Kwabre district assembly said even the current receipt issued to them after they have made payment is fake as compared to the old genuine receipt which has a Coat of Arms inscription on it.

They continued by arguing that instead of the real revenue collectors from the assembly, the DCE has rather deployed some known vigilante group members and serial callers who rather come around to collect the money and then issue such fake receipt (ticket).

“Every government in power take drivers for granted considers us as fools, but we want to tell them we are not fools.

We are going to show them how intelligent we are”, they said.

  • NEPOTISM AND FAVOURITISM IN GOVERNANCE HAS INCREASE CORRUPTION IN GHANA – HON. AHENKWAA YAW FREDERICK

The communications headquarters of the National Democratic Congress recently announced the highest level of Nepotism (family and friends) governance in the NPP government. Names of fifty-one ruling members of the New Patriotic Party were mentioned allegedly as the relatives and friends of the president of Ghana H.E Nana Akuffo Addo.

This revelation has been the matter for discussion in the country.

Reacting to the revelation, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress of Jaman North constituency Hon Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick stated that, this family and friends’ government is the result of the greatest level of corruption in the country.

He said this on *Thursday, November 7, 2019.  ”If relatives and friends are assigned a position in governance, how do you arrest and prosecute them if they go beyond the rules of the governance. You can’t because blood is thicker than water, so it will be very difficult to set legal suits against them. He lamented.

Finally Hon. Ahenkwaa asserted that, due to the family and friends governance by the NPP government, Ghana is now bleeding of corruption and so, Ghanaians must vote for NDC because NPP is here to create, loot, share, suspended,  re-award then ask to go free.

shut up Rawlings – Maurice Ampaw warns

Celebrity Lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has descended heavily on former President Jerry John Rawlings over attack on the Ghana Legal Council (GLC) with regard to the mass failure in the 2019 Ghana Law School entrance examination.

This year, only 128 students out of the 1,820 candidates who sat for entrance exams passed. The GLC revealed that students performed poorly, although calls for them to release students’ scripts have been ignored.

Criticising the GLC during an interaction with executives of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) on Thursday, former president Rawlings revealed that one of his daughters fell victim to what many describe as a crude pruning of law students wishing to enter the law school due to a lack of space.

“Ninety-three per cent failure and you [GLC] think you can get away with blaming the students? You don’t blame the establishment, the institution? Rawlings fumed.

The former President also took a swipe at the security agencies for applying ferine force during a demonstration by the National Association of Law Students.

Expressing his view on the former President’s scathing attack on the GLC in an interview with Boamah Darko, host of ‘Maakye’ on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw indicated angrily that the former President should shut up from criticising the General Legal Council because the students are not learning.

”Most of the students because of social media they don’t learn… look at the time they sleep… most of them don’t learn because of broken heart; some are married and don’t get time to learn, most of them are commercially stressed so they can’t learn… most of them are doing the courses part-time and learning is difficult for them,” Mr Ampaw told Boamah.

He angrily added, “Rawlings should shut up… Yes, Rawlings should shut up for attacking the Ghana Legal Council… he is being unfair to them, he is making serious allegations against them that they should be held responsible and then the failure of the students is a fraud being committed against the students… my brother, leave the Ghana Legal Council and the Chief Justice alone… nobody can intimidate the Ghana Legal council and the Chief Justice.”

Touching on the ferine force the security agencies applied on the National Association of Law students during the demonstration, the outspoken Lawyer astonishingly indicated that he would’ve disqualified all the students who went on the demonstration if he was the head of the Ghana Legal Council because they (Students) lack integrity.

  • 3 THINGS A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE BEFORE MARRIAGE

3 THINGS A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE BEFORE MARRIAGE

Marriage is a lifetime commitment that needs planning before engaging in it.

As a woman, you should always make sure that you have dealt with important things that may affect your life before settling.

Here are 3 things that must be accomplished by any woman before settling down.

    1. A good source of income

Women have the mentality of men should provide everything in a home. As this may not be a bad idea, a woman should still have a source of income.

Having a source of income can help a lot most especially when things happen to go sideways.

    2. Education

Equipping yourself with enough knowledge is important. No woman should be illiterate. Every woman should at least go through school before marriage.

Education helps a woman a lot when it comes to contributing ideas in her marriage. Lack of educations can result in a man underestimating the ideas offered by the wife.

    3. Sign of maturity

Maturity is not determined by the age of a person. A woman might be old by age but does not show any sign of maturity.

Before marriage, a woman must be able to handle things maturely. Maturity in marriages contributes a lot most especially with women who are the backbone of homes
