Photos revealing the humble beginning of Tracey Boakye when she was leaving in a ‘single room’ in Kumasi.
The humble beginnings of actress turned social media vixen Tracey Boakye has popped up revealing how she used to live in a single room at Atonsu in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Tracey Boakye has become very loud in recent times and her social media outbursts kind of paint a rather perfect picture of who she was and how far she has come.

She usually brags about her singular and unaided effort at purchasing her $1M house at the plush East Legon area here in Accra.
Well, she may have acquired some wealth now which has in some way given her the boldness to talk and reply anything and anyone who offends her in one way or the other.

But, what you see of Tracey Boakye now is not really how it started. She may look lavish, exquisite and eye-catching now but she does come from a very humble background.

Photos coming out reveal how she used to stay in a single room in Kumasi and the kind of life she used to live which actually reflected in the way she posed for her photos and the attire she wore.

Everybody started from somewhere but the reason why Tracey Boakye’s own has garnered attention is the way she carries herself about as though she comes from a wealthy home.

That should humble her. Perhaps, Ghanaians still do not understand her.

A Benz vehicle with Nigerian registration number KJA 813 GD caught fire around 0730 hours at Adetsewui junction on the Dzodze-Akatsi- highway.

Kennedy Biedo, an eyewitness and Assembly-member for the area said the driver of the vehicle suspected an electronic fault after sensing some smokes emerging from the car.

He said the driver attempted to douse the fire with the help of some drivers plying the road, but it failed due to malfunctioning extinguishers.

Mr Biedo said he attempted to seek assistance from the Ghana National Fire Service at Akatsi, but efforts did not yield the needed results.

“We just saw sparks which developed into a wildfire, we started calling for help, but honestly the car was completely burnt down,” he said.

“We called Akatsi fire service, but unfortunately, their tender is out of commission, so we resorted to Dzodze for help, but it was late before they arrived, the vehicle got burnt beyond recognition,” he lamented.

DO II Simon Wardie, the Akatsi South District Fire Commander said they were doing everything possible to fix the fire tender for usage in times like this.

However, the driver of the vehicle escaped unhurt.

  • Road Safety statistics show an increase in road fatalities during election years.

Road Safety statistics show an increase in road fatalities during election years.

Statistics at the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) have revealed higher cases or road crashes and fatalities in election years since the beginning of the Fourth Republic in 1992.

A trend analysis of the figures over the past 28 years has shown that all election years recorded higher road crashes and fatalities than the preceding years.

Additionally, the statistics show that with the exception of 2016, every election year has recorded higher road crashes and fatalities than the preceding election year.

As of September this year, road accident figures showed that 10,535 crashes had occurred, with 10,933 injuries and 1,828 deaths.

Those statistics indicate a steady increase in the road accident situation, compared with the same period of 2019 which recorded 10,294 crashes, 10,721 injuries and 1,733 deaths.
Also, the 2020 figures show that road crashes had increased over 2016 election year figures, which indicate that 8,651 crashes occurred.

    Fourth Republic figures

A holistic look at the statistics, beginning from 1992, show that 6,992 crashes were recorded in 1992, resulting in 10,030 casualties and 914 deaths.

The figures shot up to 8,488 crashes, 10,952 casualties and 1,049 fatalities in 1996, in the next election year.
The figures also showed an increase over the 1995 situation, where 8,313 crashes were recorded, with 1,132 casualties and 1,026 deaths.

The increasing trend continued in 2000, with that election year recording 11,087 crashes, 13,747 casualties and 1,437 deaths.

That was after the country had recorded 8,763 crashes, 11,439 casualties and 1,237 fatalities in 1999.

In 2004, Ghana had 12,175 road crashes, 18,445 casualties and 2,188 fatalities, an increase over 2003 road accident statistics of 10,542 crashes, 16,185 casualties and 1,716 deaths.

Although in 2008 the 11,214 road crashes recorded were lower than the 12,038 recorded in 2007, the casualties remained higher (16,455 for 2008 and 16,416 for 2007).

However, the fatalities for 2008 were 1,938, lower than the 2,043 recorded in 2007.

The road crashes and fatalities went up to 12,083 and 2,240 respectively, in 2012, as against the 10,887 crashes and 2,199 fatalities that occurred in 2011.

There was an improvement in the figures for the 2016 election year as the road crashes and fatalities reduced to 8,651 and 2,084 respectively, compared with the 9,796 crashes and 1,802 deaths in 2015.

Although 2020 (another election year) is yet to end, the increase in the road accident situation over 2019 figures remains a source of worry.

  • I’m too expensive for the political parties to approach for an endorsement – Shatta Wale.

I’m too expensive for the political parties to approach for an endorsement – Shatta Wale.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale has stated that no political party in the country can ever pay him to endorse their Presidential candidate.

Sarkodie and Samini last week pulled a big surprise on Ghanaians and their fans after they released an endorsement song for the current President Nana Addo to be given 4 more years to do more.

When social media started bashing them, Sarkodie came out to deny that his song titled ‘Happy Day’ was not an endorsement to Nana Addo or the NPP but rather a song for people to enjoy with.

Well, their friend Shatta Wale who also made some huge money from the NDC in 2016 prior to the election during a recent interview has stated that he is not ready to a campaign song for any party.
According to him, the point he has gotten to now in his life, he wouldn’t want to engage in anything political.

The ‘Mellisa’ hitmaker continued that, if any political party wants his services, then they must be ready to meet his terms and conditions.
Shatta Wale without mincing words made it clear that as it stands now, he is too expensive for the political parties to meet his price tag for a campaign song.

“If they want to convince me to do it, they have to come to my terms… Political parties are not my type of thing…I so expensive for a political party; they can’t pay me….if they want to approach me; it’s going to be a very difficult thing. If they want to convince me to do it they have to come to my terms but it’s not my thing,” Shatta Wale said.

  • You’re Not Joe Biden – Kabila Tells Mahama

You’re Not Joe Biden – Kabila Tells Mahama

Former Acting General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh has rubbished the political comparison of the US and Ghana elections by the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).

Former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden has been declared President-elect after days of voting by the electorates.

According to the provisional results, Joe Biden polled 290 to win the elections while Donald Trump polled 214 votes.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is of a firm belief that Joe Biden’s victory will translate into victory for the party’s Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama.

Their analogy is that whenever the Democrat Party wins the US elections, NDC also wins Ghana’s elections.

The party further argues that President Nana Akufo-Addo will be a one-time President just like Donald Trump.

Reacting to the issue, James Kwabena Bomfeh a.k.a Kabilla believes the NDC is deceiving themselves.

He asserted that the Biden-Trump analysis won’t work for the NDC and their Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama because the US elections have no correlation with the impending elections in Ghana.

“Joe Biden is not John Dramani Mahama. That’s number 1. [Number 2] Trump is not Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. [Number 3] Joe Biden was Vice President for eight solid years in America’s history; John Dramani Mahama was Vice President for three and half years. You can’t compare the two. [Number 5] Donald Trump did his best to introduce divisive policies; Akufo-Addo has brought a policy that’s become like manna for every Ghanaian,” he explained.
