NEVER WANTED CHELSEA TO BECOME “AN ACADEMY CLUB” FRANK LAMPARD ADMITS

Chelsea’s manager, Frank Lampard admits he never wanted wanted Chelsea to become “an academy club” due to spending the lavish spree of money which amounted to €200million.

Lampard was extensively ascribed to handing Chelsea best young talent an opportunity last season ,with players such as Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount blooming after being given regular minutes at Stamford Bridge , Although it’s still seen if the club’s academy youngsters continue that development amid increase competition for a first team place.

Chelsea have always been impeach of boarding young talent without a clear alley to the first team and Lampard’s policy was a welcome change ,now, the blues boss insist he “never wanted “ to become an academy club and says the focus should be on whether his side can compete for silverware on his side.

According to Frank Lampard, he stated he never wanted that “I love the nurturing last year but I never wanted us to become an academy club”and this was said to sky sports. “That story is great for five minutes and those debuts when you had them out are really nice. But then it moves very quickly to those asking if you can win games now .

“When you see the injection of players and what they can bring – they have all brought personality with them already – that should bring a level of competition that lifts the squad to new levels.

“My feeling and my senses suggest the players are feeling that, but we have to show that on the pitch, and it is my job to manage that and take us forward.

“Last year we spoke a lot about the transfer ban, and it was very relevant. To come fourth last year was a big achievement and it certainly felt that way with the competition around us. That’s done now, and now we are looking at whether we can get better, whether we can improve as a club?

“I’m a Chelsea fan and any fan should get excited about the type of players we have brought in. It’s something we had a long look at last year. The ban allowed us to look at areas we wanted to improve, the profile, type and age of player we wanted to improve us in the long term.

“It feels good because it has been work, it’s what you set out to do. Recruitment is a huge part of trying to be a club that is successful at the top of the Premier League.

“Liverpool and Manchester City are big examples of that, they have got big coaches and great players they have brought in at the right time. We’ve made positive moves, now it comes down to work and whether we can show it on the pitch.”

The host of new signings of Chelsea gets their premier league campaign underway this evening when they travel to South Coast to take on Brighton.

  • ‘Women Are The Properties Of Men, They Shouldn’t Be Given Freedom After Marriage’ – Man Sparks Outrage Online

‘Women Are The Properties Of Men, They Shouldn’t Be Given Freedom After Marriage’ – Man Sparks Outrage Online

A Kenyan on-air personality, Captain Kale has sparked outrage online after he said women are the properties of men and therefore should not be given any form of freedom at all right after marriage.

Captain disclosed this while reacting to a topic in which radio host, Maina Kagena asked women about the definition of freedom in marriage. “Ladies, when you tell your husband you want freedom in your marriage/relationship, what do you mean” the theme under discussion pointed out.

While responding, Captain Kale said giving freedom to women is just like handing a fully loaded gun to your enemy. “When I married her, I paid for her, hence me owning her. She should do as I say. Even her going to say hi to her parents needs me to think about it,” he tweeted.

Women are irresponsible human beings and they need to be guided every time. They can’t function without someone being hard on them. Giving women freedom is like giving a gun full of bullets to your enemy.

  • How Aseidu Nketia was given a hefty Slap

How Aseidu Nketia was given a hefty Slap

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Aseidu has recounted some difficulties he encountered as a student.

He may be popularly known as General Mosquito but he has revealed another powerful nickname that earned him a slap back in the days.

Mr Nketia has disclosed he was a brilliant Mathematics student and that got him the name Archimedes, the name of a Greek Mathematician.

“I was called Archimedes because I was good in mathematics but I suffered for it,” he said in an interview on Joy FM’s Personality Profile.

Being a brilliant and confident student, he always stood up to challenge his teachers in class, an action most teachers were not pleased with.

“It was one time in class five when a mathematics teacher marked me down in an exam but I was so sure the answer was correct and decided to rework the solution but I did not go to the teacher to challenge him,” he recounted.

“I took my own red pen and corrected the mark, an act my mates made noise about and that angered the teacher. He came to the class, removed his wrist watch and gave me a dirty slap which landed me on the floor,” he added amid laughter.

However, General Mosquito pointed out that did not deter him from challenging the status quo when not convinced.

  • 8 Female Body Signs that indicate She likes You

8 Female Body Signs that indicate She likes You

If a female is attracted to you then she will often be extremely subtle. However, some women can be more flirtatious than others and these types of women may intentionally try to convey more signs that she is interested in compared to others. Listed below are 12 clear signs that a girl is interested in you. Some women might show more signs than others, but the more signs you see the more likely it is that she wants you to ask her out!

    1. Getting close and personal – Women don’t want to get close and personal with people they don’t like. If it seems that she wants to get into your personal space then it’s a clear sign that she likes you. Take note of whether she makes an effort to sit or stand by you and if she finds little excuses to engage you in conversation so she can get close. If you notice that, it’s a very positive sign.

    2. Makes eye contact – If she makes constant eye contact with you then it’s a clear sign she is interested. Also, take note of whether she hides or flaunts the fact that she’s watching you. If she is willing to let you know she’s watching you, then you’ve just hit a home run.

    3. Smiles more – Smiling is one of the top indicators you can use when trying to determine if a particular girl likes you or not. If she smiles then it means that she enjoys your company and doesn’t mind having you around. Be sure and take note of how she reacts to others. If she smiles just as widely and often, then you may want to look for other clues of interest instead. However, if she’s giving you more smiles then everyone else, you have it in the bag.

    4. Focuses on you – It’s only polite that was focus on the other person when having a conversation and although this is mostly true, not many people really do pay attention. You’ve probably dealt with rude conversationalists at least once in your life and they can usually be spotted around the room checking their cell phones, watches and even looking straight down at the floor during a chat. You might even notice this from a female if she has no interest in you. However, if she’s fixated on what you’re saying then you can be sure she’s interested.

    5. Arms by her side – As long as the girl you’re talking to has her arms by her side, you have a way in. This sign indicates openness and willingness to participate at the moment. If she crosses her arms then it’s an indication that she is protecting herself and you likely have no chance.

    6. Flips her hair – When a woman is playing with her hair it’s a sign of flirting that she most likely doesn’t even know she is doing. Look for signs that include running her fingers through her hair, twirling a lock around her finger, flipping her hair back..etc. She’s trying to show off her neck and before you blast it, remember that the neck is a very sensual and sensitive part of a woman’s body.

    7. Dilated pupils – Just like a child’s eyes will widen when faced with a huge jar of candy, a woman’s eyes will do the same when faced with a towering piece of man-candy. Dilated pupils are something she will not be able to control. So, if you notice it then take it as a sign that she is unconsciously exhibiting interest and excitement in you.

    8. Upturned palms – Look for her to have open upturned palms. This is another clear sign of openness and willingness to engage you further whereas clenched fists are an obvious sign to back off.

Now that you know eight extremely common body language signs that a woman will show when interested in you, you mustn’t take them the wrong way. Always pay attention to the girl you’re into and see how she reacts with others. If she treats you like any other friend then you should be looking for her to send you additional signals for confirmation. The more signs you can see a girl giving you, the more likely it is that she’s open to the idea of getting to know you better!

  • Six Reasons You Should NOT Remain Friends With Your Ex

Six Reasons You Should NOT Remain Friends With Your Ex

Everyone will have their own opinion on whether staying friends with an ex is a good idea or not. However, according to several scientific studies you should think twice before making that date with your ex. When you’ve been through a lot with someone and feelings are still there, it can be tempting for you to want to keep them in your life. But, many will find that staying friends with an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend is much easier said than done after a breakup. To help determine exactly why that is, we’ve compiled a list of six different reasons psychologists think you shouldn’t remain friends with someone once the romantic relationship has ended.

Reasons You Should NOT Remain Friends With Your Ex

    1. You Can’t Suddenly Turn Off Feelings – According to the famous author Nina Atwood, people usually remain friends with their exes because they don’t want to end things harshly and face a life without a person who has meant so much to them. People assume that remaining friends with an ex will make it easier to soften the blow of the breakup, but that isn’t true. It’s only natural to not want to entirely lose such an important person in your life, but spending time with them after the break up will make it virtually impossible to erase the feelings you have for them. The moment you start feeling comfortable in each other’s company again, you will let your guard down and those romantic feelings may come back, bubbling under the surface once again.

    2. It Will Is Harder For You To Move On – Being around your ex all the time will make it harder for you to remove feelings of loss and regret. In other words, you will probably experience mixed feelings that will make the process of moving on much more difficult for you. After the breakup, people need time to heal and just reflect on the relationship, and that will be much more difficult if they’re in the company of their ex all the time. When a couple breaks up, neither person can see things clearly and both will usually need time to recuperate and better understand the things that happened. Having your ex in your life will only make things harder than they already are.

    3. Hanging Out As Friends Will Be Painful – No one wants to be watching from the first row as their ex finds a new partner and starts a new romantic relationship. But if you choose to remain friends with the person you were once romantic with, be prepared to deal with these kinds of situations which will always be awkward and painful to see. As much as we don’t want to admit it, it hurts to watch our previous partner move on and find new love. It really sucks to see them be in love with someone else, and whether you like to play it cool or not, it can hurt to see your ex doing better than you.

    4. There Isn’t An Upside To Being Friends – Unless you have kids or are otherwise bound to spend time together, there isn’t a good enough reason to be friends with your ex. After all, there really isn’t an upside to being close to someone you chose to end a relationship with. Even if you think it’s the mature thing to do after a breakup, the far better solution would be to cut ties with that person and just go your own separate ways. Remaining close to them would eventually bring unresolved issues back and you’d risk getting hurt over and over again.

    5. Your Ex Might Still Be In Love With You – When a couple ends their relationship, it’s not always a mutual decision. Most of the time, someone gets dumped in the relationship, and it’s usually the person that gets dumped who wants to get back together. That’s not always the case, but regardless, one might hope to reignite the fire of romance once again because they still have feelings for the other person. Let’s be honest, the chemistry between the two of you is there, even though it might be burned out at the moment. Going out and having a drink or two together will definitely mix things up, and it may leave the other person with a false sense of hope that you two might end up together again, which will never end well.

    6. It Will Prevent You From Finding New Relationships – After one relationship ends, you should let yourself have the necessary space to mend from the breakup and eventually get back out there in the dating world. Hanging out with your ex won’t do you much good, and it will definitely be weird for other potential partners. Imagine having to explain to your new partner, that you are spending a lot of time with your ex. They will probably think you’re still hung-up on them and that you’re not ready for something new. That’s a definite red flag and deal-breaker for many potential partners.

As much as we hate to admit it, we would be fooling ourselves if we thought that being friends with an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend could actually work. If you’re currently going through a breakup then there are some great hacks you can try to get over your heartbreak, such as taking some extra time to relax and avoiding toxic people in your life. It can be hard to let go of someone you’ve spent lots of time with and grown close to. But, many psychologists believe cutting ties and moving on is the best thing you can do.

Prof. Gyampo had Just Told Akuffo Addo and the NPP the Hard Truth

An Associate Professor of political science, who is also the director of the Center for European Studies of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ransford Gyamfo has told the ruling New Patriotic Party and the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the hard truth about the 2020 elections.

Speaking on United Television’s Programme the Critical Issues, Professor Ransford Gyampo told Host, Afia Pokuaa that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has a major challenge going into the 2020 general elections.

He indicates that, the NPP has a lot of achievements they can showcase to the people of Ghana, but they have a communication deficit.

He indicates that, communicators of the NPP, who are supposed to trumpet the achievements have rather resorted to propaganda and are discussing issues which are not relevant to the ordinary voter.

He however disclosed that, it is only the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who is communicating the gains of the NPP properly to Ghanaians and he is really making impact.

“I have to tell NPP the truth, if they really are serious for business in this election year, then they should strengthen their communication front. Their only problem is communication. Telling people what they have done is a major issue. They speak only about propaganda, and propaganda is not relevant to the voter. They should   rethink about how they communicate to Ghanaians. So far, it is only Dr. Bawumia who has proven to be the best when it comes to communication.

He speaks about fact and figures and it is always interesting listening to him. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was doing well initially but now, he is also gone into propaganda. Being able to articulate what they have done is lacking”. Professor Ransford Gyampo told Afia Pokua during the discussion.

Kuami Eugene and his cohorts are killing Ghana’s highlife – A.B Crenstil

Celebrated highlife musician, A.B Crenstil has made it emphatic that the current of artistes parading themselves as Highlife artistes are killing the genre with modern-day funky instrumentals.

To his best knowledge, the new highlife boys are making the genre, which was originated in Ghana, lose its identity with different kinds of instrumentals and it must be very worrying to patriotic Ghanaians who are music lovers.

    Speaking in an interview with Joy FM, A.B Crenstil envisaged that;

“I am disappointed in the current trend of artistes who have taken the highlife music. A lot of foreign genres are mixed with highlife sounds nowadays, making it feel it is adopted and making not great.

You can clearly hear the person doing funky music but the person will claim he is doing highlife music.

“These new highlife artistes are killing the highlife genre. I am very disturbed about this. The only Ghanaian keeping highlife burning is Kofi Kinaata.

On records, A.B Crentsil is a Ghanaian musician. Crentsil has won numerous Ghanaian music awards, including the Fontomfrom Evergreen Award, a special honour bestowed upon a musician with 15–20 years of continuous music experience.

  • I Don’t Have Any Issue With Stonebwoy, I Only Wanted To Trend – Samini

I Don’t Have Any Issue With Stonebwoy, I Only Wanted To Trend – Samini

Award Winning Raggae/Dancehall artiste, Samini has opened up on his social media rants on the ‘Asaase Sound Clash’  involving Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

Samini, who was seen registering his displeasure in videos he shared on social media disclosed his motive when he was interviewed by DJ Seani B on Asaase Radio.

According to Samini, he rants on social media was a strategic move to help him trend and become relevant.

“My rants on social media about the clash was to have me trend, and I achieved that. It was my smart way to get involved as well. There is still unfinished business between me and Shatta Wale. I wasn’t surprised to see Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale names come up for the Sound Clash. My longevity in the game is good reason enough to include me in Sound Clash such as this one. I don’t see the reason why anyone would disagree with me on this,” Samini revealed.

He added: “I don’t see me and Stonebwoy having a ‘head on’ sound clash in a competitive bout because ‘Father & Son’ don’t have to do that, perhaps it would have to be a family vibe sort of with Stonebwoy on the microphone; if anything between me and Stonebwoy on the microphone it will be more like a party clash and not anything so serious. It still remains a family thing between me and Stonebwoy forever. HighGrade Family and Bhim Nation are family forever and I won’t change that narrative.”

Samini however applauded Asaase Radio for bringing together the two most controversial artiste in Ghana.

“I am proud of the genre I am part of. Aside my concerns raised, I am singularly excited about this. It is the best thing to ever happen in the history of Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall music. And the bigger reason for the clash which is to crush COVID-19 even makes me doff my hat for Asaase Radio 99.5fm,” he stated.

Manager of Shatta Wale, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, also known as Bulldog, says his artiste is worth more than the GHS2 million he allegedly received from the Ghana Exim Bank for an ambassadorial role.

Reacting to the news in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Citi FM, Bulldog said Shatta Wale would have charged more than the figure been thrown about if the news was true.

“If I was in charge of accounts, I would have charged more because he deserves it. I believe every Ghanaian artiste deserves more. The entertainment industry and creative people in Ghana have been downplayed for a very long time,” he said

His response was in relation to whether Shatta Wale was worth the amount he is alleged to have been paid to serve as an ambassador for made in Ghana products; a move being championed by the bank.

Bulldog has also confirmed that there is an agreement between his artiste and Exim Bank. He noted that the contractual agreement signed a few weeks ago has already commenced. The deal first came to the fore during Parliament’s ongoing Public Accounts Committee (PAC) sittings.

Construction of the National Cathedral to start in October – Gov’t announces

The commencement of the construction of the debatable National Cathedral which was earlier scheduled for April will begin in October as promised by President Akufo-Addo.

This is according to a Citi News interview with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the project, Victor Kusi Boateng.

According to Mr Kusi Boateng, the new date will see the completion of the cathedral.

“It had to be delayed because there were a few complications here and there with regard to people that were going to work on the project. Actual construction will begin in October [2020] if not for the COVID-19. By the grace of God the main contractor of the project is almost approved and so by the first or second week of October construction will start,” he added.

President Akufo-Addo’s priorities have been questioned ever since he decided to build a National Cathedral. A large section of the citizenry believe amongst all the problems facing Ghana, a National Cathedral is not one of the solutions.

However, the president has said the construction of the National Cathedral is in fulfilment of a personal promise he made to God before the 2016 general elections.

The monument is expected to be put up within the next five years and will have a 5,000 seating capacity with chapels, a baptistery, a music school, an art gallery and a Bible museum.
