DANGEROUS BRIDGE THREATENS LIFE OF STUDENTS
Residents and students of Abisim Yeboah in the Suhum constituency of the Eastern Region, are crying over movements and economic activities disruptions, following the increasingly dangerous state of the only bridge that linked them to their schools called Abisim Yeboah Junior High school, primary and nearby communities, making life unbearable and scary.
The bridge, which links to Dawa, Abisim, Nankese, Akwadum, and other related communities, is increasingly becoming a threat to life each day, affecting class hours of students, with tragic occurrences reported that some students sometimes fall into the below water while crossing the bridge.
Some parents, as a result, have redrawn their children from the school in their only attempt to protect them from any unforeseen danger. Residents and students speaking are therefore calling on the MP Hon. Opare Ansah and MCE Margaret Darko to come to their aid immediately.
Speaking to DFM, the Assemblymember for the area Hon Bright Ernest Nyakotey, expressed his extreme worry towards the footbridge, saying that this bridge has caused many people a lot of challenges in the area. He appealed to the government to come to their aid.
