COVID-19: Management of Techiman area VRA/NEDCo worried over customers crowding to buy power.
Management of Volta River Authority & Northern Electricity Distribution Company (VRA/NEDCo) is appealing to Ghanaians to desist from the habit of waiting until the beginning of every month before trooping into their offices to buy power, especially in this COVID-19 period to avoid breaching social distancing protocols.
The partial lockdown of Greater Accra and Kumasi, closure of schools and the current measures by Gov’t in the fight against the spread of the deadly Coronavirus has forced many Ghanaians to stay at home resulting to increased demand for electricity and serious causing serious human traffic at VRA/NEDCo offices beyond the control of their internal security personnel.
