The president of the republic, Nana Akuffo Addo recently cut sod for the commencement of the construction of 111 hospitals across the country which is titled Agenda 111 hospital projects.
Reacting to this, Mr Samuel Boateng a political analyst has described the idea and the agenda as a brilliant one but government has to reconsider and complete the uncompleted hospital projects in the country and also upgrade the existing hospitals in the country which lacks the needed facilities for effective health care.
Mr Samuel Boateng stated that, considering the country’s economy situation, it is better for government to apply scale of preference by constructing the new hospitals for the newly created six regions and some other Districts that may need the hospitals at all cost and upgrade the existing hospitals that lacks facilities for health care.
He stressed that, the abandoned hospital projects that were in the stage of completion must also be attended to ensure that they are completed and well equiped for effective health care delivery.
