An aide to Hon. Dr. Clement Apaak and a Communicator Team Member of the NDC Samson Samari Eliasu disclosed that, the forum on galamsey organized by the ministry of lands and natural resources on galamsey related activities was just a complete waste of state resources and patrons time.

Samson went on emphasising that, what difference will the dialogue make after the same president kept his presidency on the line to fight galamsey and eventually failed and tried to defend his failure.

“I attended a similar roundtable discussion on Monday, 11th February 2019 . The discussion was organized by the Institute of Economic Affairs, on the theme: “The Galamsey menace in Ghana, the way forward”. It was attended by high profile government officials of president Nana Addo’s government. They spoke their usual grammar and that ended it” Samson Narrated.

A Complete Waste Of Resource

According to Samson, the Nana Addo’s government is not ready to admit their lackadaisical attitude and their complete failure towards the fight of the galamsey menace. There have been instances where secret recordings of government officials were leaked on their quest to make money for their party.

“The president speech was just a direct indication of his unpreparedness to punish his appointees who are directly or indirectly involved in the galamsey activities” he said.

However, To Samson, the Government should have used the forum to apologise to Ghanaians for its failure. Some government officials should have been answering questions from the general public about the whereabouts of the seized excavators, the dissolution of the inter ministerial taxforce, the military protection of some alleged galamsayers , the depotation of the Chinese galamsey queen, Aisha Yuang.

He futher said that, until we are ready to name, shame and jail, president Nana Addo will continue to shield his appointees. What evidence does he need again after seized excavators vanished into thin air?

Take action against appointees involved and not forums.

Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo is a Ghanaian Togolese actress who was arrested due to the indecent exposure of nude pic she took with her son.

Akuapem Poloo has spoken for the first time after her release from prison. The actress who was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment was freed after she met her bail conditions on Friday.

Akuapem Poloo has regained her freedom, at least temporarily, after she fully satisfied the bail conditions as set out by the criminal division of the Accra High court.

On Friday, the Lawyers of Akuapem Poloo held a Press conference. According to her lawyer, Andrew Vortia, his client has grown slim and pale and has been in very low spirit having spent at least two days in jail after she was convicted by the Accra Circuit Court.

Following her release, Ms Brown has addressed the public through the media.

“Am sorry I want to put myself in shape and address who I want to address,” she said.

Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown, made headlines in Ghana last week after she got hit with a 90-day jail term at the Accra circuit court, for posting obscene pictures with her son on her page on Instagram.

Rosemond Brown who is popularly known as Akuapim Polo dropped a nude photo of herself together with her son in June last year, when she was celebrating her son’s birthday.

The Child Rights international Ghana found her demeanor corporable and called for her arrest. Her arrest courted public sympathy with a number of revered personalities adding their voices to the case, imploring the court to pardon the young actress. After getting hit with a jail term, the actress and her lawyer, Andrew Vortia filed an appeal against the jail term and were granted Ghs80,000 bail on Wednesday with two sureties. Thus, she has to report to her case investigator every two weeks and also present her passport to the registrar of the court.

The bail was well received by most Ghanaians, following the recent unceasing talks about who was going to take care of her 7-year-old son during her 90 days in jail. Other reports surfaced that, the child’s biological father is still around and can provide shelter for the boy. However, the bail grant means she can reunite with her son soon.

Self-styled and loudmouth priestess Patricia Asiedu known widely as Nana Agradaa has been arrested, according to TheGhanaReport.

The news portal states that Nana Agradaa has been arrested as part of efforts by security agencies to clamp down on the activities of spiritualists.

Akuapem Polo’s Mother has revealed that Akuapem Polo’s Son Uttered Just One Word After Seeing His Mother In The News on TV. After that, he has refused to talk. The woman made this known in an interview yesterday as she wept on the phone.

The woman Explained that, when the boy saw his mother on tv, he called her ” the grandmother” to look at his mother on tv. Because they were speaking English on the TV, the boy couldn’t understand what they said.

However, luck eluded them when he watched one of the Akan TV stations and heard what has happened. Since then, the traumatized boy has refused talk to anybody. He has been crying intermittently seeking to see his mother.

Actress Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo who was earlier today, convicted by the Accra Circuit Court over her nude pictures with her son has received varied reactions from social media users.

The social media sensation on her son’s seventh birthday posted some naked photos which caused an uproar amongst a section of Ghanaians.

After months of court proceedings, she has been remanded into custody to undergo a pregnancy test before her sentencing.

The emerging sad news convened has it that many lives have lost in a ghastly accident in the up North of Country.

According to Savannah Regional police Public Relation Officer Inspector Agyekum Owusu explained that the accident occurred on Tuesday, April 13 around 7:00pm.

According to a police sitrep, the driver of the Toyota mini bus veered off his lane and collided head-on with the DAF tipper truck.

11 Persons Died in Accident

Eleven persons comprising nine male adults, one female adult and a girl have died after a Kumasi-bound Toyota mini bus with registration number AS 2872-20 on which they were traveling collided head-on with a DAF tipper truck with registration number NR 578 F at Alipe near Yapei in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

Five passengers onboard the Toyota mini bus also sustained various degrees of injuries.
The driver of the Toyota mini bus identified as Akonsi Sumaila also died on the spot.

The injured were rushed to the Yapei Health Center and later conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where the deceased were also taken to.

He also cautioned drivers to avoid overspeeding on the highway.

The President of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah has said that his government will not permit people who are engaged in illegal mining to deplete our lands and resources.

He added that a two-day National Consultative Forum on small-scale mining had been initiated to propose policies to deal with the people destroying our land and resources through illegal means of mining.

Speaking at the open ceremony of the dialogue, he said his government will not relent to deal with people engage in illegal mining and ensure that law has been set to deal with.
