2024 elections will be won or lost at the polling station, so let your guards be on – Former Prez Mahama charges NDC supporters
Former President and 2020 flag bearer of the largest opposition party the National Democratic Congress (NDC) His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has charged his supporters to let their guards be on because the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections will be won or lost at the polling stations since the party will not resort to the Supreme Court to seek justice even if they know they have been cheated.
According to him, the Electoral Commission changed the true will of the People in the last elections by rigging the ballots for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Supreme Court too failed to deliver justice when they run to them, therefore, teaching the NDC a big lesson which they will put to practice come 2024.
His Excellency John Mahama made this disclosure when he stormed the Bono East regional capital Techiman Tuesday with his nationwide “Thank You tour” accompanied by his running mate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, National Chairman Elder Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and a host of high powered NDC delegation….
Meanwhile, . His Excellency John Mahama in separate meetings with Zongo Chiefs & Imams, the Catholic Bishop & Roman Church leadership, Regional House of Chiefs, and NDC sympathizers was very grateful to all in the Bono East region whom he called his “In-laws” for voting massively for him in the Presidential despite losing and increased the NDC’s Parliamentary seats from six (6) to eight (8)
His Excellency John Mahama
His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, Former President, and 2020 NDC flag bearer.
He said the next elections in 2024 will be a do-or-die affair, especially at the polling stations.
Speaking on Techiman-based Akina FM’s on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, as part of his thank-you tour, Mr Mahama said “This current president has made elections life and death for him, he uses his Delta forces and invisible forces enrolled in the security agencies.
“You see some Military and police officers and ask whether these are indeed officers. They wear earrings and all sorts of things and you can’t tell whether this is a police officer or a soldier.
“We know they have infiltrated the security with some of their people.
“Look at what happened at Techiman South the ways they shot at the crowd, it was intended to kill people.
“We hope that the next elections we won’t see scenes like that again.
“We have learnt our lessons from happenings during the 2020 polls. The 2024 elections will be won or lost at the polling station. It will be do-or-die at the polling stations. The right thing must be done during the polls. We will win the elections at the polling station and won’t wait for collation centre results nor petition the Supreme Court if aggrieved,” he said.
The President made this pronouncement at Sefwi Akontombra when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Sefwi Akontombra on his two days tour in the Western North Region.
“As the MP and the Chief said that they want Hon Amoah Yawson to be maintained as DCE for Akontombra, I announce my first MMDCE appointment, Hon Amoah Yawson is my first DCE nominee, Nana Addo”
JOHN MAHAMA IS THE PROPRIETOR OF “CORRUPTION INSTITUTE OFGHANA”; WE’LL MAKE HIM CRY LIKE SIX MONTHS BABY COME 2024 GENERAL ELECTION-NPPYO TOMAHAMA.
The Firebrand New Patriotic Party Youth Organization(NPPYO) has chastised former President John Mahama over his accusations of corruption against the Akuffo Addo administration.
NPPYO has heavily descended on Mahama addressing him as proprietor of ” Corruption Institute of Ghana”(CIG) that rocked him down in the 2016 and 2020 general elections.
NPPYO indicated that Mr.Mahama has no moral justification to talk about corruption, let alone accuse the ruling party of the canker. Naming some alleged corrupt deals under the Mahama administration, NPPYO stated that these deals defined that administration.
“Is Mahama, of Government Official one infancy and the Ford vehicle from Kanazoe contractors, talking about corruption? Is that the same Mahama had these corruption scandals during his tenure of office; Judicial scandal, Alfred Woyome saga, Airbus scandal, Armajaro scandal, Saglemi housing scandal, Bus branding scandal, Gyeeda scandal, SADA scandal, NSS scandal, Brazil 2014 fiasco, and a lot of scandals can’t mention during his era talking about corruption?
Mr. Mahama should immediately come out and apologize to Ghanaians if not we will make him cry like six months baby come 2024.” John Mahama proved to be so corrupt that during his first as vice president, his boss late president Mills had cause to set up a committee to investigate the role played by him in the process leading to the acquisition of five aircraft, including Embraer 190 Aircraft and a hanger for the Ghana Armed forces”, NPPYO added.
Finally, NPPYO slams NDC for not to dare to talk about corruption matters again if not we will show the red cards to them.
The 20 Bundles of Roofing Sheets Sent to Bonakye on Wednesday 1ST SEPT Not A Gift From OTI Regional Minister But NADMO Donations
The Oti regional minister on last week Wednesday, September 1st, sent twenty(20) bundles of roofing sheets donated by NADMO for the entire region to support the good people of Oti region for a natural disaster(windbreak) that occurred across the region last year and government due to insensitivity and lack of resources could not support the affected victims which has rendered so many people houseless.
The twenty(20) bundles of the roofing sheets as a national cake from the taxpayer’s money are supposed to be fairly distributed across the entire region to support all the victims affected by the incident resulting in the demolition of their houses.
It is quite sad the regional minister of Oti region sent all these items to only one particular town and its environs within one particular constituency which is Nkwanta south constituency where he hails from.
The strange and shocking aspect of this unfair distribution of the national cake is that the regional minister is misleading his selected beneficiaries that, the donation is his personal gift for them, and not government initiative nor anyone.
The rationale behind the regional minister’s misleading the people of the region especially the people of bonakye about items procured and provided by the government with their own taxes remains unknown to everyone apart from him.
One will ask why should an unforeseen event like this happened across the region, affecting victims in places like Chinderi, Krachi, Dambai where he resides, Nkonya, Kadjebi, Jasikan, Likpe, and the environs of all these mentioned communities in the region which is not exhaustive, but the regional minister chose to prioritize one community to all the above-mentioned communities, and this is extremely strange in our political landscape, the Hon Minister needs to answer questions by telling the other communities why he chose to ignore them in this difficult times.
The selectiveness and cheap political prioritization of the Npp in governance is really affecting the fair spread of developmental facilities and opportunities to the benefit of all citizens, and the Oti regional minister seems already disappointing the entire people of the region just like his boss the president has disappointed everyone living in Ghana today.
The minister needs to know that, he is ministering over 8 constituencies for now until SALL is added to be 9 and for that matter, he ought to be fair and candid in his dealings, we in the NDC in Oti as his watchdogs with devoid of personal attack and of no malicious intention against him, will always ensure he is put on his toes to do the right thing, Oti region is already failing and we can’t allow that failure to continue.
Also, an intelligence has it that, the Hon Minister is already bidding for the Nkwanta South constituency MPship seat and that is why he is sacrificing the opportunities and national cake of other people and their communities in the region to only his potential voters and I think this is a premature political somnambulism and ejaculation and Mr. Minister need to relax and focus on his mandate for now, because the incumbent hardworking and very selfless MP. Hon Geoffrey Kini is already putting smiles and joy on the faces of the people, When the said event happened, the MP donated to the people more than twenty bundles of roofing sheets, hence twenty bundles of roofing sheets is a peanut to dream of using to induce or buy votes.
It is must be emphasised that, I have no malice motive or intentions against bonakye people benefiting from the minister, but my concern is about how the minister misled them about the ownership of the roofing sheets, claiming it to be his personal gift just for personal political credit, and also how it was unfairly distributed to benefit all in the region equally, the people bonakye will forever remain grateful and committed to the NDC and Hon Geoffrey Kini for our perpetual show of love, care and concern, the NDC will always ensure the people of bonakye are provided with the necessary social and economic developmental facilities and opportunities needed to live well.
As a citizen of the region, I’m ready to commend the Hon Minister if he does well and will not also hesitate to critique him like I’m doing when the need arises.
Hon Makubu’s appointment as the regional minister came has a joy to all of us in the region, believing he will solve or reduce our standing problems and ensure cohesion and fair governance in the region, but unfortunately, he seems disappointing us already, but he has more chance and space to seat up.

I told you drugs will ruin your life – Afia Schwarzenegger to Aisha Modi
• Afia Schwarzenegger has alleged that Aisha Modi is on drugs
• Aisha has also clapped back at Afia
• Aisha also called out Tracey Boakye for wading into the beef
Actress Afia Schwarzenegger and talent manager, Aisha Modi, have rekindled their beef following a claim by Afia that Aisha is abusing drugs.
For months now, the two former friends, have in a series of posts, tried to tarnish each other’s reputation on social media with several allegations.
On Monday, September 6, Afia posted an image of Aisha from a recent event and stated that her (Modi’s) skin looked like “tie and dye left in a bucket of bleach.”
Also in a separate post, she alleged that Aisha who is popularly known as “She loves Stonebwoy” was doing drugs, this she added has taken a toll on her physical outlook.
She wrote: “1.7 billion pedicure n shoes. Say no to Drugs. I know she is coming live but VAWULENCE demand that madam evidence must show her face. I should have known all this was the Drugs Ayisha. WATCH: My biggest paycheck came from UTV – Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo
• Arnold says UTV offered him a huge amount of money for his services• Being an entertainment pundit in Ghana, he says, does not pay off
• Arnold discloses he’s been with civil aviation for over a decade
Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has disclosed that the highest money he has ever earned as an entertainment pundit was given to him by United Television (UTV).
Arnold who is a regular panel member for the popular United Showbiz programme said although he has practised this profession for several years, it is until recently it started to pick up.
“First, we started this whole entertainment journalist thingy as a passion. But with time, it’s gradually picking up. My highest paycheck came from UTV and I won’t lie about it. Although the recognition for those of us in this profession is low, some of us are pulling our weights,” he stated in an interview with Delay.
Arnold has served as a pundit on various radio and television entertainment talk shows for years, including Peace FM’s Entertainment Review and GhanaWeb TV’s Bloggers’ Forum in his bid to contribute to discussions and shape narratives.
On a number of occasions, he has clashed with celebrities and fans of celebrities who were bruised by his remarks on a subject. Topmost among them is his encounter with Shatta Wale.
The dancehall artiste and the pundit were engaged in a near-fight during UTV’s United Showbiz programme sometime in June 2021. This was after Arnold described Shatta Wale as an inconsistent and confused artiste.
When asked whether he was under any form of pressure after Shatta Wale labelled him a poor entertainment journalist who rocks a GHC2.50p worth of shoe, Arnold said:
“I won’t let Shatta Wale subject me to any form of pressure. I’m not doing badly in life. I’m not in a rented apartment. I have my own place. For someone like me who has been working at the civil aviation for over ten years and I’ve been doing entertainment alongside, just use your discretion and see. I’m good.”

ELEMENTS WITHIN SUNYANI MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL SABOTAGING PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO’S GOVERNMENT
“Concerned NPP Supporters Bono Region” has noted images and video in circulation in the social media insinuating that President Akufo-Addo on his recent tour to the Bono Region commissioned an uncompleted Maternity Block at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital.
The propaganda images and video are being circulated by crisis merchants and mischief-makers who are notably NDC rented media and NDC communicators.
We have reasonably caused to believe that there are elements within the Sunyani Municipal Hospital hierarchy who are determined to do acts to undermine the New Patriotic Party’s government in the hope of achieving their hidden agenda which is to cause the defeat of NPP in election 2024.
We wish to state that there is no iota of truth in the images and video in circulation and therefore wish to set the records straight as follows;
●President Akufo-Addo on 11th August 2021, as part of his two days working visit to the Bono Region, commissioned a newly constructed Maternity and Mental Health Block at the Sunyani Government Hospital together with the Bono Regional Headquarters of the Fire Service and the Administration Block for the 3rd Battalion Infantry Base in Sunyani.
●At the time of the commissioning, the project was completed, a fact the hospital authority has alluded to in a press release issued and signed by same.
●Some days after the commissioning of the Maternity and Mental health block, the management of the facility decided to enhance it with their own specifications.
●Firstly, Partition the corridor leading to the theatre and recovery with a swing glass door.
●Secondly, Change the doors to the theatre and recovery with a swing glass door
●Lastly to Create a triage area at the reception.
It was during this period, that some rented Press and some NDC communicators got access to the facility and took pictures and made live videos on Facebook and other social media outlets.
The manner in which these individuals had access to the facility and went live on Facebook gives rise to suspicions that, the act is nothing but some form of organised and well-orchestrated sabotage by some officials within the hospital purposely to cause disaffection for the government and ultimately bring about the defeat of New Patriotic Party in the next general elections.
While we appeal to the relevant authorities to fish out the miscreant’s officials and sanction them appropriately, we also inform the general public to disregard these fake stories and treat it with the contempt it merits.
African migrant workers brutalised in UAE – report
A group of African workers in the United Arab Emirates have been brutalised, thrown into jail and then deported, researchers from two NGOs have found.
In a new report, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor and Impact International for Human Rights Policies detail how the migrants were arrested en masse in June and then subjected to brutal treatment while in prison.
“They took us straight to prison, not even a police station,” Ugandan Kennedy Rubangakene told Focus on Africa TV. “I was surprised because I did not know why I was there. I worked [there] legally I had the legal documents. My contract had just been renewed.
“There was no offence that I was charged with. They did not even take me to court. There was no offence.” The authorities in the UAE said the arrests were legal and aimed at “prostitution networks [which] were involved in human trafficking offences, indecent acts, and extortion” adding that “those arrested were found to be involved in these crimes”.
The researchers spoke to more than 100 of those affected, mostly from Uganda, Cameroon and Nigeria. They had valid paperwork and were employed in a variety of roles including cleaners, waiters, nurses and electricians, the report says.
The “attacks were planned, targeted and racially motivated”, Michela Pugliese from Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor alleged on the BBC’s Focus on Africa programme. She also detailed how privileges among workers in the UAE vary according to ethnic origin.
In response, the UAE government “categorically denied the report’s racist suggestions, stressing that the [country] adopts strict laws and practices with regards to non-discrimination in all cases”.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie-Akoto has assured Ghanaians of a stable food supply.
He said the food security situation is not as dire, compared to countries in the sub-region asking Ghanaians not to panic over comments of food shortage in the country.
Speaking to Journalists in Accra, Dr. Owusu Afriyie -Akoto mentioned ongoing initiatives such as the expansion in the provision of seedlings and fertilizers to farmers, improvement in extension service delivery for farmers among others.
“These are measures that are being undertaken to ensure that Ghana does not move from the stable radar to a worse situation.’’
The Minister announced the Ministry’s Medium-Term plans to dredge the White and Black Volta to minimize the impact of flooding along that path especially to farmlands every year.
“The spillage of the Bagre Dam which is causing havoc in the upper East and upper West, we are trying to find a lasting solution by dredging immediately. Last year and two years ago we did a lot of dredging on the Black and White Volta so you don’t hear much of the flooding in the black Volta. We have a program lined up in the medium term to dredge the water in the White Volta to minimise the damage,” according to Dr. Afriyie-Akoto.
