The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo restated his appeal to traditional leaders in the country to neglect chieftaincy disputes and conflicts going on between tribes. This is to ensure peace, harmony and also speedy development of the country.
He also added that the chiefs should find solutions to demolish the disputes between themselves and also disputes among other tribes to ensure peace and unity in the country.
President Akufo-Addo made the appeal when members of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, accompanied by the Regional Minister, Mr. Kwamena Duncan, paid a courtesy call on him at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The President said, if we do not prevent conflict issues in the country, then we will find ourselves killed by our own people which will also bring war into the country and will also not promote peace in the country.
