Stephen Appiah to Contest GFA Presidency

Black Stars Technical Coordinator and former Captain Stephen Appiah have confirmed his interest to ultimately become President of the Ghana Football Association.

He believes he has gathered valuable knowledge along with his career and possesses qualities that will benefit the Ghanaian game.

The former Juventus midfielder, strongly hinted that there will come a period in the near future where the game of football in Ghana will be heavily governed by former players.

His comments come at a time when the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association has set October 25th, 2019 as the day when a new President will be elected.

“The criteria to be part of this Association requires you to associate yourself with a club and that is what we are not doing.

Some of us are having meetings and we are thinking about a lot of things.

When you go to Europe football is run by footballers.

We are still learning and watching whatever is going on so when we come we don’t make the same mistakes.

As I said never say never one day it will happen” he concluded with a coy smile”.

The 2019 FA Presidency, however, is expected to be keenly contested with former GFA Vice Presidents Fred Pappoe and George Afriyie officially confirming their bid to run.

Pages 11 – 49 of the register did not appear.  The EC has to resort to the use of the supplementary register as stated earlier.  There is even instances where a Polling Station appeared twice on the list with only one register e.g. Obuoaky Electorate area at Kenyasi No. 1 (G041102) of the Asutifi North.

If they are saying so then it means that the CID boss, the interior Minister and the National Security Minister have to step down before we go mad. At this time? • RB Leipzig Holds Bayern to Frustrating Draw

RB Leipzig Holds Bayern to Frustrating Draw

Robert Lewandowski’s 199th goal for Bayern Munich was not enough to claim the points as RB Leipzig fought back through Emil Forsberg’s penalty to draw 1-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

In their first meeting with Leipzig since a 3-0 DFB-Pokal final win in May, Lewandowski edged closer to a double century of Bayern goals to put Niko Kovac’s side ahead.

But, after Bayern had a penalty overturned by VAR, Forsberg leveled matters from 12 yards on the stroke of half-time.

A rejuvenated Leipzig found Manuel Neuer in top form after the restart, though Bayern would have snatched it had Peter Gulacsi not managed to tip Kingsley Coman’s deflected effort onto the woodwork as Leipzig held firm to move back into the top spot after being briefly replaced by Borussia Dortmund.

  • MISTAKES WOMEN MAKE IN RELATIONSHIP

    MISTAKES WOMEN MAKE IN RELATIONSHIP

Nobody is perfect and everyone is expected to make mistakes at a certain point in life.

When it comes to relationships, most women tend to make mistakes without even realizing it.

However, when one recognizes her mistakes, it doesn’t matter how long it took her to recognize the mistake, but what matters is what she does in order to be better.

For most women, these are some of the biggest mistakes they make in relationships.

    1. They do not ask for what they really want

When it comes to what women really want, most of them shy away from asking for the same.

They instead tend to accept what is available to them and try to use that as the best cover of hiding what they really want.

When a woman doesn’t really open up about what she really wants, this will most likely hurt the relationship.

This is so because she risks becoming bitter day by day, as she will start having the thought of her being a failure in life.

    2. Gossiping about their partner

This is another mistake that most women engage themselves in.

Gossiping about your partner is always a wrong move as women end up exposing things about their partner that wasn’t supposed to be shared with a third party.

As a result, when the truth gets to her partner, the relationship is likely to break since the partner will feel betrayed.

    3. Failing to see their partner for who they are

Another mistake made by most women is the failure to see their partner for who they are.

As a result, most women tend to demand too much from their partner, making their partner feel demoralized.

In the end, the relationship is likely to take the wrong path as the one partner will be struggling so hard to provide things that he is not capable of providing.

  • Zidane – Bale is No Scapegoat at Real Madrid.

Zidane – Bale is No Scapegoat at Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane has opposed Gareth Bale’s view of being made a scapegoat at Real Madrid while praising the winger’s “amazing” ability.

Wales international Bale almost moved to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning during the transfer window after being told he was free to leave Madrid.

Los Blancos boss Zidane made the decision following months of speculation over their seemingly fractured relationship but the Madrid board blocked his departure at the last minute.

Bale, while on international duty last week, claimed to have been “made more of a scapegoat than most” for the team’s shortcomings, a belief not shared by his head coach.

Zidane said, no I think we’re all guilty if things go wrong or if things go right.”It’s up to us, all of us, we’re all in the same boat. We want to change things when things don’t go right. We’re thinking as a team mentality.”

Initially on the outer during the pre-season tour to the United States, Bale has since returned to the first-team fold.

“He’s a great player. What happened in the summer, everyone knew the situation. Now he’s here, I’m happy, he’s happy, everyone is happy, the fans as well. Now we have to move forward.”

Alisson to Miss Another 7 Games for Liverpool

Alisson is set to sit out at least seven more games for Liverpool, with manager Jurgen Klopp not expecting him back until after the next international break.

The Brazil international goalkeeper has been sidelined since picking up an unfortunate injury on the opening day of the 2019-20 campaign.

He broke down against Norwich at Anfield and has not been seen since.

Initial fears that a serious problem had been picked up were eased, but Alisson is no closer to making a return to action.

He has already missed three Premier League games and the UEFA Super Cup, with summer signing Adrian taking his place in the Reds side.

Klopp admits that he is likely to require cover between the sticks for several more weeks, with Liverpool eager to avoid rushing Alisson’s recovery.

With a cautious approach being favored, the 26-year-old will remain out of contention until mid-October.
